For the environmentally-conscious among you, or those who just want the absolute best thing touching your and your baby's skin, we offer organic cotton and bamboo slings. Do something good for the earth, while you're doing something good for your baby!

Our cottons range from lightweight chambrays to mediumweight sateens and twills, while our bamboos are super-soft jersey knit with a bit of stretch, for the ultimate in comfort.

Organic cotton Ring Sling in Gray Sage

100% Bamboos
We are the first sling-manufacturer anywhere in the world to offer baby slings made of 100% bamboo. That's right, who would have thought that you could make a beautiful, soft fabric from this woodsy plant? The truth is, this is an ultra-soft jersey knit with a comfortable bit of stretch, and a drape like silk!

This fabric is ideally suited to the Pouch Sling and Mei Tail, but is also available as a Ring Sling (because of the stretch, just be sure to check our instructions on tucking and wrapping to prevent ring slippage).

The qualities of this wonder-fabric are numerous:

is naturally anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial, thus is naturally organic (requiring no pesticides to be grown) and reduces body odours;
is breathable, and has wicking properties that are far superior to cotton;
is suitable for those sensitive to allergens;
is purported to have an inherant UV protection factor;
And finally, the bamboo plant is highly sustainable and renewable. Being the fastest-growing plant on Earth, a bamboo can re-generate to its full mass within six months, and can be continually harvested every three years.

Care:
Machine-wash with like colours, on a cold cycle. Minimal shrinkage (4%-5%) will occur upon the first washing, with greater shrinkage when fabric is washed or dried at high temperatures. It is recommended that you wash this item with baking soda or natural laundry cleaning products.

Machine-dry or hang-dry.

100% Cottons
These certified-organic cottons means that they have been grown without the use of chemical pesticides. Any dying is by a "low-impact fiber-reactive" process that uses far less water than conventional dying. This is more environmentally-sound because all dye material is reclaimed and not released as effluent. No heavy metal mordants, azo, sulfa or vat dyes are used.

Our solid colours are lightweight cotton chambrays, while our prints are mediumweight cotton sateens or twills.

Care:
Machine-wash with like colours, on a cold cycle. Fabric has been pre-washed to control shrinkage. As with any cotton fabric, some shrinkage will occur when fabric is washed or dried at high temperatures. It is recommended that you wash this item with baking soda or natural laundry cleaning products.
